Director of Asan Medical International (AMI) Kim Young-tak said, “We hosted this orientation to help foreign medical scientists on a training course in AMC adapt to a new or unfamiliar environment. I hope this is a change for them to have a better understanding of AMC and improve interactions and communications with other foreign colleagues.” The orientation included sessions for showing the hospital PR video, informing them of the things to be noticed, and introducing Korean culture and tourist attractions. A session for a network among overseas medical professionals was also provided.
Overseas medical professionals who attended the orientation gave positive responses: “This is a rare opportunity to meet medical professionals from various countries, so it is a great time for them to have interactions and exchange useful information.” “I’ve learned about the Asan Alumni. I want to continue this relationship with many foreign medical professionals whom I met in AMC.” The Asan Medical International (AMI) plans to host the orientation on a monthly basis.
