Personal Information CollectionㆍUse Consent

1. Purpose

The purpose for collecting and using personal data at Asan Medical Center is to register and manage members of the online website. Asan Medical Center will collect and use personal data for the following purposes:

  1. To deliver patient care service for diagnosis and treatment.
  2. To provide information on healthcare
  3. To book and confirm medical appointments both in hospital and in health screening center and to provide membership services on line
  4. To get statistics for service used
  5. To send medical bills, certificates and necessary things for tests and health screening
  6. To allow us to maintain communication and contact with you when needed for transmission of notices and answers for complaints
  7. To handle response to online consultation and To provide any new service and event information
  8. To prepare for new service development and personalized service
  9. To collect information on consumer endangering services and environment in compliance

2. Required Information

Personal Information: Name, Nationality, Current Organization, Photo, Address, Contact Details, Date of Birth, Gender. Ect..

3. Terms of personal data processing &smp; retention

Personal data is retained and used for as long as the client receives services from Asan Medical Center. The Hospital will delete your personal data immediately upon withdrawal from membership.

  1. Period of use: Membership period (immediately destroyed after withdrawal / Separate storage of personal information if unused for more than 1 year)
  2. If collected for medical treatment: according to the standards set forth in the Medical Services Act

Your personal data, however, may be further retained even after the purpose for collecting or obtaining personal data is fulfilled if it is still required to be retained under applicable statutory provisions in the Commercial Code, etc.

4. Right to refuse the consent and disadvantages in case of refusal

You may refuse to consent to the above mentioned purposes and may withdraw your consent at any time after consent. However, we inform you that the personal information collected is the minimum basic information necessary for a smooth process. Your refusal to consent may cause limitations in receiving services at Asan Medical Center.

Personally Identifiable Information : Resident registration number, Social Security Number, passport

Sensitive Information : Personal health information such as past illness history and family history if determined necessary by medical professionals

3. Terms of personal data processing &smp; retention

Personal data is retained and used for as long as the client receives services from Asan Medical Center. The Hospital will delete your personal data immediately upon withdrawal from membership.
