Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center
Since 1993, we have been dedicated to caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease through a specialized clinic, which expanded in 2012 to become Korea’s first Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.
Since then, we have been leading the way in providing treatment, advancing research, and sharing knowledge for patients with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and intestinal Behçet's disease. Today, we provide care for approximately 15,000 patients, making us the largest single-center provider of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care in Korea.
At the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, our multidisciplinary team of experts works closely together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. We hold regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings where gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, and specialized nurses collaborate to discuss complex cases and determine the best treatment strategy for each patient. We value active patient participation, ensuring that each patient is fully informed and involved in every step of their care. Through in-depth discussions, we help patients understand their condition and explore the treatment options best suited to their individual needs. We also provide personalized counseling on medical therapies and surgical options, opportunities to participate in international clinical trials, lifestyle management counseling including dietary support, and guidance on pregnancy and childbirth for those living with IBD.
For patient convenience, we are open Monday through Friday, with appointments available in person, by phone, or online. For urgent matters, a dedicated hotline is available during business hours to provide timely support.
