Urinary problems caused by prostatic hyperplasia are not aging-related natural changes. In Korea the number of patients with prostatic hyperplasia is increasing as population ages. This disease not only lowers the quality of life, but also results in various complications if not treated properly.

Do you suspect you have a prostate cancer considering the elevated PSA?
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level rises with increasing age, but mostly remain in normal upper limit of 4.0ng/ml and if this level soars up abnormally, prostate problems may be suspected.
If PSA increases or a tumor in the prostate is felt through a rectal examination, prostate biopsy is performed for accurate diagnosis.

Do you have a family history of prostate cancer or do you suspect a prostate cancer?
All male adults aged over 50 or aged over 40 and a family history of prostate cancer need to receive counseling about prostate cancer and a regular monitoring of PSA level for obtaining basic information and early detection, preventing the spread of prostate cancer or its worsening to untreatable state.
The Prostate Center provides a one-stop system in which patients can receive examinations and test results on the same day.
