The Musculoskeletal Tumor and Sarcoma Section at AMC Department of Orthopedic Surgery is a leading center for the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and multidisciplinary management of bone and soft tissue tumors. With a rich history of clinical excellence and innovation, our team is internationally recognized for its expertise in treating complex sarcomas and performing high-risk revision surgeries.

Our section collaborates closely with medical oncology, pediatric oncology, radiology, radiation oncology, and pathology to deliver fully integrated care. This multidisciplinary approach ensures personalized treatment plans for every patient, improving both oncologic control and functional outcomes.

We specialize in the treatment of a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal tumors, including:

  • Primary malignant bone and soft tissue sarcomas
  • Metastatic bone tumors (excluding spinal tumors)
  • Recurrent and revision cases following prior treatment
  • Pelvic and periarticular tumors requiring limb salvage techniques

Our surgeons have extensive expertise in advanced limb-salvage procedures, pelvic resections, endoprosthetic reconstructions, and functional reconstructions following tumor resection. We continue to stand at the forefront of musculoskeletal oncology in Asia.

The section also serves as a major academic hub, with a strong publication record and active educational programs for fellows and international visitors. Our goal extends beyond eradicating disease to preserving mobility, dignity, and quality of life for each patient.
