The Spine Surgery Section of AMC Department of Orthopedic Surgery is one of Asia’s leading centers for the treatment of complex spinal disorders. Led by a team of internationally recognized surgeons, the section delivers state-of-the-art surgical care across the full spectrum of spinal conditions, including spinal deformity, metastatic tumors, cervical myelopathy, and degenerative diseases.
Our section is uniquely equipped to manage high complex cases, with extensive experience in adult and pediatric spinal deformities, high cervical lesions, and metastatic spine tumors. We offer patient-specific, evidence-based treatment strategies designed to optimize functional outcomes and enhance long-term quality of life.
As part of AMC Cancer Institute, the Spine Surgery Section manages a high volume of patients with spinal metastases. Our surgeons work in close collaboration with oncology, radiology, and radiation oncology to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. Surgical approaches, including separation surgery and en bloc resection, are selectively employed to achieve oncologic control while preserving function.
The Spine Surgery Section is committed to advancing spinal care through surgical innovation, academic excellence, and patient-centered outcomes. Whether addressing routine spinal conditions or the most complex deformities and tumors, we strive to set new standards in spine surgery both regionally and globally.
