The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine established Korea’s first independent Pediatric ICU exclusively for the treatment and management of critically ill children patients in July 2000.

We are equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment for specialized medical professionals and nursing staff such as pediatric intensivists, full-time physicians, and nurse practitioners to offer intensive monitoring, nursing, and treatment. We play a leading role in the field of pediatric critical care medicine in Korea.

It provides integrated management of pediatric critical patients in need of intensive monitoring, nursing and treatment by all departments within the Children’s Hospital including the departments of pediatrics, pediatric cardiac surgery, and pediatric surgery, among others. It also offers specialized, multidisciplinary, and comprehensive medical services for the best treatment of critically ill children patients.
