The Department of Stomach Surgery adopts the most suitable types and methods of operation by identifying the exact conditions of a patient, and selects either conventional open surgery, laparoscopic surgery which is a minimally-invasive surgery, or robotic surgery to offer customized medical services to each patient.

We perform about 1,800 stomach surgeries a year which is the largest in Korea and about 1,200 laparoscopic surgeries a year. The five-year survival rates of early stomach cancer surgery amount to about 95%.
